September Beer of the Month: Brooklyn Brewery's Oktoberfest

Printer-friendly version

While Brooklyn Brewery hasn't been around for hundreds of years like some of the Bavarian brewers who originated the celebratory "Oktoberfest" Marzen brew, it has been on the forefront of the micro brewing revolution since 1988. The amber and copper toned Marzen style beer is malty as all get out, and is as good as it gets in replicating it's Bavarian counterpart. This is a great bridge from your crisp Summer Ales into the darker, more complex beer of Autumn. Enjoy this beauty while it's still around until late October.
