Quick Hits – Drew Brees gets to play another shitty team.  We saw how it turned out last week for the Colts.  Hopefully you’re not playing against him this week in your leagues … I’m starting to develop a slight mancrush on Cam Newton, even going as far as rooting for the Panthers to win games so he can completely silence the haters.  At this point, there is no question he’s an every week starter.  If you’re carrying Newton and another stud QB on your team, start fielding trade offers (unless it’s a 2 QB league).  You should be able to nicely round out your starting lineup … Not necessarily a model for consistency, Big Ben is going to have to be Enormous Ben this week to keep up with the Patriots.  Get him in your lineups … Miami is beatable through the air, making another inconsistent quarterback, Eli Manning, one of my favorite plays this week … Matthew Stafford practiced on Thursday and should play Sunday barring a setback.  While you run the risk of him getting reinjured in the game, this is just too good of a matchup.  Don’t try to get cute with this one.  Chances are your backup won’t come close to matching the numbers Stafford has on Sunday … The Arizona Cardinals have given up an average of 23.2 points to opposing quarterbacks, which is great news for Flacco’s chances of rebounding from a poor week 7 performance … After watching Tim Tebow put up 24.6 points (4 points per pass TD), most of which came in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter, I didn’t know what to think.  No matter how ugly, he finds ways to score fantasy points … Ryan Fitzpatrick has fallen back to earth.  As good as the Redskins pass defense has been, I’d try to find a better option … Christian Ponder was impressive in his first start, and definitely has a future as a relevant fantasy quarterback.  Don’t rush to get him in your lineup just yet though.
