Hot Garbage Waiver Wire Week 9

HOT GARBAGE:

QB: Mark Sanchez/NYJ: Yeah, yeah, I know. He's been dropped in some leagues due to the bye (he likely wasn't your starter anyway), and he's been quite the garbage time marvel for fantasy. Do I trust him? Not completely, but Brian Schottenheimer has faced heat for his vanilla offense as of late, and as long as he keeps taking shots downfield to Burress & Holmes, you have to like his production in most formats.

RB: Javon Ringer/TENN: Fresher legs? No. Try more decisive legs. Chris Johnson is officially a fantasy dog this season, after failing to get anything started against the pudding like defense of the Colts. In contrast, it helped Ringer get more RBBC type reps, and it could be that way going forward. Still want to "buy low" on CJTKO? Be my guest, just don't say Uncle Rummy advised you to do so, kids.

Bonus Pick: Kevin Faulk/NE: Trust goes a long way with Tom Brady, and the ageless one, just returning from the PUP list, never missed a beat. Faulk looked quick and decisive, and was about the only bright spot on 3rd down for NE. I don't expect weekly production to be "Sproles-like", but I do think he can help you out with low double digits each week in PPR.

WR: Greg Salas/STL: A brutally thin WW has me doing the unthinkable, recommending a Ram's WR not named Lloyd. Granted this is ONLY for PPR formats, but he has stepped up as a decent low end option with most of the attention being focused on Brandon Lloyd by defenses.

Bonus Pick: Braylon Edwards/SF: Just now getting healthy, Edwards is available in most leagues and faces a pretty soft schedule vs. the pass going forward. While this is a run first offense, he's worth an add as an upside pick for your playoff strectch.

TE: (None of note)

COLD TRASH:

QB: (None of Note)

RB: Reggie Bush/MIA: SELL, SELL, SELL! Let's review. What has Reggie done thus far this season? Will the Dolphins be playing from behind a lot this year? Do you really trust Reggie between the tackles? Are you trying to trade him already? Good for you, oh wise one.

WR: Anquan Boldin/BAL: Don't let the stat line fool you, this won't happen every week, and Flacco has been anything but reliable, just ask our guy Forbes. I'd be shocked if Boldin touches these numbers again this year, so getting real value while you can is imperative.

TE: Scott Chandler/BUF: Yeah, remember this guy? Barely, right. He does this, scores a pair of red zone TDS, then falls off the map. If you can a two day old tuna sammich for the kid, do it now.

"Flex Luthor" Start of The Week: Steve Breaston/KC: With the Dolphins on the Reggie Bush, "Forget Luck, We Just PLain Suck" Train, I expect the slowly emerging Breaston to post solid numbers in PPR, against a Miami secondary allowing opponents an average of 270 yards through the air.

Comments

RB: Jordan Todman/SD: Ryan Mathews has a groin injury and back up Curtis Brinkley suffered a concussion this past game coupled with Mike Tolbert dealing with a pulled hamstring. If Brinkley is out expect Todman to be Sproles-Lite even if Mike Tolbert plays. If Curtis Brinkley plays then he's a Hot Garbage candidate.
